Well bootcamp, it had to happen, on a qualifying round I was taking on the obstacle course and got to the one called pole vault, it is chest height on me and I found it quite difficult to get over,

It was tough but I determined to do it, however seconds from disaster is the next photo, quite honestly I have no idea what happened but I slammed my left chest into this pole with immediate pain.

Well although injured I pushed on, come on it is a timed event, so i did the nasty tires and then the rope climb...so did I make it.....NO
5 seconds to late, I was required to run this course in 4:15 and I took 4:20, dammit to hell. So okay always next time.
Now there is no immediate return to this course because I have bruised and /or cracked ribs on the left side of my chest.
Mental note to self...You are nearly 50yrs old not 15 STOP DOING STUPID STUFF.
Other photos of me at the bootcamp

That's what I said to myself earlier this year when I fell on a trail and bruised my sternum and ribs...I'm 47 not 27...but still we don't learn. I hope you recover soon from this Dave. Take it easy!
