LOL she looked at me and said" Oh hell I was so scared of you cause I thought you were the instructor, now I am really scared"
Anyway we got down in the dirt for crunches, sit ups and push ups, then off to the obstacle course. I had been looking forward to this as the last one I did was 30 years ago at 5 South African Infantry.
Well I did my thing and man was it sore, starting off running on the outside of eight poles that are staggered, no big deal, then it is chin lifts VERY BIG DEAL,

then it is hand over hand across a suspended ladder effort, VERY TOUGH, next is a double set of tyres which you run through, next down on your face and crawl under an obstacle that is bloody low to the ground.

Next is a rope swing and if you want to be higher then alpha you have to climb up the rope, next is a pole suspended by a chain then three pole ends standing up out of the ground and then real balance across a higher pole,

then it is a pole vault, they are chest height on me, so you go over the top of the pole, the next one is a smaller version and you go under I think there is eight of them
then three sets of double tyres you run through using your forearms and shoulder to batter your way through

and finish with a cargo net climb about six meters high over the other side, this I was happy about as I thought it would freak me out, I did it.

and down all in 5 mins to qualify for the lowest level. Also you need to then go for 1.2 km run in 9 mins, then 8 pushups in a minute, 20 step ups in a minute, 10 sec rope hang, 15 sit ups (not crunches) in a minute and 15 sec chin ups all to be ALPHA
Man o man this is seriously going to hurt as the above fitness test is this coming Saturday.
It is two days since bootcamp and I am still battling the pain and stiffness, lol to get up off the toilet is fun.
I'm achy just looking at this. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteThe things you put yourself through! I had enough of that in the army. Good luck with the fitness test.
ReplyDeleteOh no, that's how I felt on a Wednesday and Thursday after the workout with the Get Fit Challenge for 6 months. Does the pain get any less as time goes by? Still shaking at the knees....
ReplyDeleteHmmm I sure it does, tomorrow you will find out...lol.
