Well I had feedback from Comrades and it was interesting and possibly something that all novices should know before they run Comrades. Whether or not there is a timing mat, it has absolutely nothing to do with the cut off time. Apparently the reason behind the timing mats are to catch cheaters, being so far in the back of the pack we were not of interest to Comrades for cheating.
Hmmmmmmm oh well you learn something new every now and then. The conduct of the champion chip laatie is a whole other story and Comrades has told me that I need to take that up with champion chip themselves.
